Undying ist ein leuchtender Stern im ursprünglichen Pantheon des veganen Metallic-Hardcores.

Undying wurden 1998 von Mitgliedern von Catharsis, Day of Suffering und anderen klassischen North Carolina-Gruppen gegründet und setzten mit ihrer Debüt-EP „This Day All Gods Die“ einen neuen Standard für Hardcore. Auf den beiden darauffolgenden LPs „The Whispered Lies Of Angels“ und „At History's End“ legten sie die Messlatte mit ihrer charakteristischen Kombination aus treibender Geschwindigkeit, wildem Gesang, ergreifenden melodischen Breaks und gnadenlosen Breakdowns höher und steigerten die Präzision ihres Songwritings auf das Niveau klassischer Musik.
